Ingredients
2 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons paprika
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon onion powder
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon oregano
1 tablespoons thyme
Directions
- In a bowl, mix all the ingredients. Transfer the resulted mixture into a container, preferably a glass one, and store it in a dry and dark place.
Notes
- I’ve noticed that smoked paprika provides a more intense and deep taste to the mix. You can replace it with the whole quantity of paprika or use half smoked and half normal.
- Some of my closest friends and family members don’t seem to handle too well the spiciness of the cayenne pepper, and for this reason, when cooking for them, I replace it with chili powder, and you can add only half the quantity to the mix.
- One of the most adaptable spice mixes, I make sure to always have it ready to use in my spice drawer. Suitable for chicken, pork, beef, veggies, dairy products, and many more.
- You can skip the salt if you want to have more control over the quantity of salt in your meals.
